TIM'S BIRTHDAY!

First of all, I have to say that men's birthdays look nothing like women's. In saying that let me begin with the festivities! We started the evening out with a surprise visit to shangri la or REI. And purchased these:

We then proceeded to Cherry Cricket's to indulge in the best hamburger I have eaten since Five Guys and a Burger. This place was packed which also meant it was delicious. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but kept ourselves busy with pinball in the mean time. After getting schooled by a ten year "professional" pinball champion we took our seats. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. We owe this trip to Man vs. Food on The Travel Channel.

What's next in this busy month of April...Easter...Anniversary...Earth Day...Neil Young! Looking forward to all of it!

Winter in Spring

Tim and I took a much needed retreat to the mountains this weekend and all I can say now is Ahhhh...

We went on few hikes through woods directly behind the condo and the best part was watching Loretta and Biscuit barrel through the snow. Who knew? They love the snow! Oh, and there was alot of snow. Some places were waist deep on me and I couldn't resist jumping in myself.

We ate some yummies:

*Breakfast Casserole

*Homemade Chicken Salad

*Bruschetta

*Filet Mignon with Red Wine Sauce

There is currently a tie for the
Yahtzee Champion.

We talked alot and worked out our future. School, jobs, art, music and children, you know the usual. We are in a critical time right now concerning where to step next and this time was helpful in the planning process.

Thank you so much Dr. Larson, you have a wonderful home away from home and that is exactly how we felt...at home.

Off To The Mountains

We are beginning Tim's Big Birthday Kickoff a little early this year with a trip to the mountains. I think we are both looking forward to getting out of the city for a few days and soaking up some nature and each other. I think Biscuit and Loretta are especially excited. We both have many dreams to share with each other and this time will be helpful in doing so. Though we see each other everyday, we never have the time we want with each other...undistracted. I look forward to showering him with Birthday kisses and kicking his butt in Yahtzee. That's right. This was one of my Momma's favorites and we are bringing it back. Hopefully, I'll have lots of pictures to share on our return.
