The First African American President

Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, it happened!

The United States made History in electing Barack Hussein Obama for our next President.

Congratulations!

I vow to remember this day. In hopes, that I may share it with future generations. Just a few questions to jog my memory:

1. Where were you?

sitting on the couch at 68 Sherman Street #7 Denver, Co.

2. Who were you with?

Tim Crews (t-bone)

Biscuit Crews better known as B-Money or B-Boi

Loretta Crews aka Lo-Lo

3. How did you feel?

Honestly...indescribable, but I'll try anyway. I had chills for days recognizing what our country had just accomplished. I listened to stories of the civil rights movement and how much pain those who lived and fought through that time had gone through. I thanked God for allowing me to live in such a beautiful country. I do believe the United States of America has just evolved into a new country. One where anything is possible for all people. I feel privileged to be an American and share in this victory.

4. And what about the party?

Oh the party, well it was grand! We celebrated with mimosa's and appetizers.

a. chicken chili nacho dip

b. cheese and crackers

c. bbq chicken skewers

d. chips and salsa

e. pound cake bites

and then we finished off the night with some good ol' tears of joy.
