How Great is Your Loss

I believe the greatest loss one can experience is that of loosing a loved one. May that loss be a friend, a lover, a sister, a pet or a mother, all are too great an asset to be without and that pain of absence can not be replaced by anything. We may try to cover it or fill it to make the pain stop, but nothing will fix this injure. However, there is hope with the many many moments that have been shared and created memories for us to now remember and reflect on. Each and every one of us mourns differently. While some of us need to scream with anger, some of us quietly take the back door to silence and others need to share the story of their relationship. Regardless of the method, the point is to get it out. Do what you have to do without hurting yourself or those around you. Love is the greatest gift that has been laid upon this earth and our lives and that is what is to be cherished. For the length of the gift is never to be understood, but the knowledge of it's presence that...that is the essence of love: to love now as though tomorrow will never arrive for us. Now, if you have loved in this way, well then you have truly loved. To those that surround my life that have felt this loss, my heart reaches out to you. I wish you all the peace that can be had during this time.
